Located on the most scenic route in the world The Grille Shack @ PitStop Lodge is situated 5 kilometres from picturesque Gordon’s Bay. Anchored by statuesque Blue Gums and nestled between dramatic cliffs we are very much off the grid, whilst still being in the heart of Cape Town Country. The Grille Shack is a 1950’s Pump Diner inspired restaurant with a “lekker” South African twist. We welcome petrolheads, road-trippers, families, adventurers, hikers, locals, free spirits, cyclists, tourists and well behaved pets.

The team revels in whipping up our signature dishes under pressure cooker conditions. Every dish carefully created to reflect who we are, and what we aspire to. Being situated on the most beautiful coastal drive in the world we dabble in dishes that celebrate the season, Fynbos and False Bay. We pay homage to the nostalgia of a bygone era garbed in our 1950’s American Diner Paraphernalia – always with a “lekker” AfriKaapse twist. Expect fresh Seasonal Seafood, California Cruising Fare, Steak House Classics (always matured to perfection), Some Deep Southern Twangs, Chargrilled Specialties, Real Dude Food and a few Doll Salads too. Fire and wind are forces of nature, and as a destination with a huge fire pit, we take every chance we get to host our legendary Fire Feasts.
